PGA Tour – 59th Edition of the FedEx St. Jude Classic Betting Tips

On Thursday afternoon, the PGA Tour returns for the 59th Edition of the FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind in Memphis. Paul Comerford has selected a pair of tips that could make you a profit by Sunday evening.

160608 - Dustin Johnson

Thursday 9th June – Sunday 12th June 2016

FEDEX ST. JUDE CLASSIC – TPC Southwind

Most players will be looking to gain some last minute form and confidence to carry into the second Major of the year for the 116th US Open at Oakmont Country Club next week.  TPC Southwind is widely known as a second-shot course so we’ll be looking for accurate approach play and solid putting.

Once again its hard to ignore the top five or six in the betting, especially the favourite Dustin Johnson (6/1 at Bet365) due to his recent form that includes third last week at Memorial, six top 5’s in the 2015-16 season so far and the fact he’s won here back in 2012 on his tournament debut.  I agree with the bookies making him favourite as its just a matter of time before he’s back in the winning circle and that’s why I’m making him my Banker Tip this week.

Colt Knost (35/1 at Bet365) fresh from a week off has great current form including tied third at The Players, tied fourth at the Byron Nelson and also likes the course with top 15’s in two of last three tries at TPC Southwind. Put that together with being known for his excellent approach play and the fact he currently leads the TOUR inside 10 feet putting he must be included in most people shortlist for this week.

BANKER TIP: Dustin Johnson to win (6/1 at Bet365)

VALUE TIP: Colt Knost E/W 5 places (35/1 at Bet365)
